Description INTRODUCING...SAPPHIRRO!!!

This drawing is a first of MANY of my NEW horse Sapphirro...like Sapphira from the Eragon Books, but ending in a more masculine "O"... He is a Blue Roan, Maximal Sabino Clydesdale with, get this, BLUE eyes!!!! A RARITY indeed! I saw him, and of course ANYONE who has seen my art with my style of Unicorns KNOWS that when it comes to horses I am DEFINITELY drawn to horses with blue eyes, BIG feet loads of feathers and mane and tail and kind, soft hearts...and when I saw him, I H-A-D to have him, so I adopted him...and he will be home from his LONG journey from South Dakota ANY day now! I will be posting a BEGILLION images of him as soon as he gets settled in and I can clean him up....here go the fantasies of plaiting his mane and tail, dressing him up like a Unicorn and of ALL things taking photos of him to use as references FOR my unicorn art...to me he IS a Unicorn, normal people just can't SEE his horn!!! PLUS once he is mature enough, I plan to RIDE him...a Princess DREAM come TRUE for SURE!!! I also plan to have a professional Photo shoot with the two of us as real life Maiden/Unicorn scenes, AND he will be in Chris and My wedding, AND in our "Engagement" photos for our invitations...WHEEEE what fun, I am SOOOOO excited!!!

SO HERE IS A FIRST OF MANY DRAWINGS OF MY BELOVED

************SAPPHIRRO**************

as a horse this time....

PS It is kind of like fate with this one....I hadn't really planned to have a horse quite so soon, but I was parusing the PMUrescue (PMUrescue.org) ads and saw this ABSOLUTE gem... For those who DON'T know PMU ranches are horse farms generally contracted with Laboratories to MASS produce Pregnant Mare Urine (ie PMU) with which these LABS use to create Estrogen Supplement drugs for women going through Menopause (ie PreMarIn--again PREgnant MARe urINe)...often times these mares are kept in a constant state of pregnancy (to collect their during pregnancy urine), and, much like dogs involved in Puppy Mill situations, are bred until they are no longer able to produce--if they have filly foals, they are kept for future brood mares...but the little colts, well, if they are not ABSOLUTE stallion material are quickly shipped off to auction (ie slaughter block)...which brings me to how Sapphirro came to be a rescue horse... Lazy Horse Rescue went to an auction and purchased him (probably for pennies on the dollar) when he was about 10 months old, then on the day I FIRST saw him had finally deemed him fit to be adopted.....ANYWHO...I saw him, read his BIO and went to the Lazy horse Rescue link and saw MANY more photos of him...BUT I kind of marked him off in my mind as unattainable, since I know that the requirements to adopt a horse are VERY strict, and unless one has prior record WITH horses it is nearly impossible in many situations to even qualify, so I was a little (ie A LOT) bummed out that I would most likely NOT be worthy of adopting such a GEM....so I went to another favorite online spot for me...BestDraftsforSale.com where they have MANY draft horses available for purchase...well I went to their "want" ad section and listed a Want ad for "BLUE EYED ROAN CLYDE" and crossed my fingers that possible similar horse could be located..and get this...Lazy Horse Rescue contacted ME!!! I thought well what are the odds of that? I kind of said to myself, maybe there is something more to this, maybe he is MEANT to be my horse? Well I decided "What the Hay" I will fill out their adoption application and see what happens....well there were about 4 other people who decided they wanted Sapphirro (whom was called Lazy Blue, **ick**) and one trumped us all by throwing out a LARGE sum of money toward having him...I was REALLY bummed then, they were already asking a LOT for his adoption fee, but Gabi had confided in me that I seemed to be the one who "cared" the most about him, but the money would be REALLY helpful...well, what did I do? I MATCHED the other people and it pretty well "VOIDED" any last concern or conflict and Gabi CHOSE ME!!!! YAY!!! So now the waiting has about come to an end, and Sapphirro will be her ANY day, and I can begin the WORK to gain his trust and turn him into MORE of my DREAM riding horse...YAY...I feel all tingly and GIRLY!!!

!!!!MY VERY OWN HORSE!!!!! PICCIES on the WAY SOON, KEEP WATCHING FOR THEM!!!

Yay! Good for you! I just recently got my very own horse, too! A lifelong dream of mine, indeed. Like you, I didn't plan on getting one so soon either The guy called in response to my Work Wanted ad, asked if I wanted a horse, and BAM! I've got her registration papers in my name and she's in my field right now. All for the low, low cost of FREE...a reasonable price for a 9 year old Half-Arabian Paint mare sired by Apache Thunderbird!
Anyways, great picture! Extremely beautiful mane, eyes and just EVERYTHING!

Just one of those things, some people like it, some people hate it...it is how I have come to know being an artist for a living can be HARD...but no less fun...
