So! I apologize for the silence from my end--moving down to CA, trying to get a job, and working primarily on this. This will be my submission for 's Art FTW, a charity book. It was a lot of fun to do, especially since I\'ve had the idea mulling around in my head for at least over half a year now--being able to actually do it is nice.I'll be going through my message box tonight, so, again, I apologize profusely for the silence on my end. ): Hopefully now that I'm settled in I'll be more active!
p.s. originally titled "war never changes." Haha I am a fallout nerd.

Oooh! This picture looks amazing! The one who's planting the plant's really handsome as well, but he looks tired. The girl is very pretty too, the armour she's wearing with the chainmail looks very detailed!

I like the composition and depth in this. I definitely feel the mood. And speaking of Fallout, I thought I couldn't be addicted to video games anymore until I played Fallout 3. Been playing it for a while and still haven't beat it cause I'm too busy wandering around.

Oh god, yeah, Fallout is amazing. I wasn't a fan of the ending, but I love those games.
My current cocaine though is the Sims. ): gosh darn every-day life simulator.

I've only played the 3rd, but I'm kinda interested in playing the others now. I used to play the first Sims, but never got around to playing Sims 2 and the bazillion expansion packs. And now I hear they are coming out with Sims 3. But like many others I fell into the the habit of the drug World of Warcrack. Those were 3 years of my life held hostage to that game. I just had to quit.

I -loved- the first two Fallouts, and I'd highly recommend them. They were less action-oriented than the third (it was all isometric, top-down turn-based action) but there was so much more crazy stuff you could do than in Fallout 3... which is saying a lot.
The Sims 3 is already out now. I've been a (embarassingly so) diehard fan of the series since the first game. I am such a tool in that I have actually purchased every expansion pack for the original Sims, and the Sims 2.
Oh WoW... Yeah, I still love that game, though I don't play it. I've sworn not to touch it until I'm employed, because the last thing I want to be is "an unemployed art grad addicted to WoW."

This is really nice. I like how you combine flat coloring with subtle gradient changes here and there. I also enjoy how much the green stands out against the rest of the picture.

Yeah, I didn't entirely plan out how the picture's colors were going to go at first, to be honest. I kept messing around and made it red, then was like, ".... heeeeeey, green plants, red world. CONTRAST" and decided to push that. Then I had to not make it christmas.
Though I noticed after I completed the picture--he's wearing green, she's wearing red. har.
