Description
Among my stories, there's one that talks about of a kind of "state" through which certain types of people have to pass when they die, as a kind of purgatory.It's a beautiful but strange garden, guarded by a being of eccentric appearance and mysterious personality.
Despite of being a neutral entity, fear is always present in the mind of who visits that place, especially because the pleasant smell of the place immerses them in a state of lethargy that makes it difficult to stay lucid and begin to feel that they stay asleep, but they can't because were warned from the beginning that if they slept, they would be trapped forever there if they had a nightmare and could never ascend to the next state that corresponds to them.
It's a test, the people who feel most sleepy, is the most tied to the material world.
"It said that the Gardener has a collection of bonsai that have human forms and they are the ones that are trapped in a impure soul in their nightmares, and that every afternoon with the reddish sun waters them to keep them in that state."

Actually, I believe in Shinto way about life and death. It's a natural thing that no matter how scared you are, nobody can escape. So let's it be the fate and nature. I also hope that one day I'll have a peaceful death like dreaming too.

Oh I enjoyed reading the description,but it is far from what I believe (or what my family tells me ) .
When someone is dying , he begins to see the spirits surrounding him instead of his family and beloved ones , darkness occurred in his vision ,and if he was a good and faithful person ,the good spirit might take his souls to heaven or stars, leaving his body to rest for the meantime ,and the opposite is rather disturbing to tell ;-;
This picture is soothing and the flowers around her give me happy and lively feelings. I will try to think of this garden sometimes

I was born into a not so strict christian family, so, throughout my life my "beliefs" and my thinking were formed by the events that happened to me. Many things I've written are things I've lived or felt, they're not things that someone has told me so let's say I'm not assuring anything universal XD

This is so beautiful! I always believed that death is like a long dream. But idk I never been dead before. 
So it may well be a freaking nightmare.
