Yo! everyone~ this is my entry for the L.I.E contest of my dear friend ❤I had to choose a scene and recreated in a piece... ahm.. not so sure what time of the day it was on the scene, but I thought would be really cute to make it during night~or at least on their minds would be this, kinda more interpretative dark space than..reality.. i don't know how to explain it, but I took inspiration from this really beautiful sad scene on Rurouni Kenshin when Kenshin say goodbye to Kaoru <--- which I LOVE AND CRIED A LOT, but that's another story xd
i don't know how close to each other Edath and Lael are at this point of the story.. so I didn't want to... make the hug so tight, but i thought the dark ambient will represent Edath's soul, sadness and the water waves would be Lael gently reaching her heart ❤

GIRL, I love how you set up the mood in your drawings. The little subtleties in the background and the color contrast works so well!!
Plus, can I admit that I fangirled? xD I mean, my favorite ship from my ocs look so damn cute here!! I mean, you based it on a sad part of Rurouni Kenshin - which now I remembered that you mentioned the anime before so I had it on my list because badass SAMURAIS hehe - which also adds a sad view on this drawing, so even if I didn't remembered what part you based, I already knew it was not exactly a cute moment, but a moment with a bit of sorrow (plus her expression is so meaningful considering the scene that was happening! She looks numb, somewhat hopeless, so Lael is there, trying to do what he does better - being a cutie with toned arms 
Anyway, long short story, thank you so much for participating! I really loved this and I will trasure it very much :33

It looks gorgeous Pam! ❤ The hug feels so warm, I love that you hid the man's face behind the woman's, I feel like it emphatizes the scene even better ~ Also can I say how much I love how you drew and colored hair here? I especially love the man's hair, the ponytail plus the braid is a super nice combo!
I love the background and atmosphere too, it feels so dark yet so calm and comforting at the same time! I love your interpretation of the dark ambiant as the representation of the girl's soul and the water waves being the representation of Lael's gentleness, it's so sweet! ♥
