These are the Star Trek-inspired dresses I designed and made for myself and two of my closest friends.I was on a Star Trek kick and decided to make dresses based on the original series. Once I came up with designs for the overlapping straps, I knew I had to bring them to life. I made all three dresses in about a week, including the patterning. I also made the patches from scratch. The dresses may be simple, but I really love the way they came out. X3
Big thanks to my friends Sakura (blue dress/sciences) and ~straywind (gold dress/command) for letting me dress them up and invade their homes for fittings! For the record, I'm the one in red. ;3

Aside from the wrong type of boots (they wore a different type of boot in the 1960s), not too shabby. Add some cheesy dialogue, and you're good to go.

These boots actually hold a special significance to the three of us so we barely even considered anything remotely accurate. And these outfits were for fun so we went with what we liked. :3
As for the cheesy dialogue, let me just say that it wasn't an issue. ;3
