Part of it was he was just as curious and the other was being too close with a telephoto lens. Even set at it's nearest setting this little bugger just kept comming closer.

The kitten we just got is like that. She's impossible to take a good picture of, she just wants to press her face right up to the camera- and then bat it out of your hand and try to eat it.
