Actually he was originally from newzealand (which in tf2 is an underwater country don't ask). It was inhabited mostly by intelectuals. Sniper as an infant crawled into the rocket and it blasted off. It was intended for it to go to space but instead it lands in Australia in the backyard of the mundies who went on to raise him.
