I'm a huge fan of Tim Burton at all, but with 'Edward Scissorhands' I'm in love since I saw it for the first time and it will always be one of my favorite movies.

And when the 'Twist Fate' contest started, it became pretty obvious, what character I'm going to "twist". The choice was quite good, because the originally cute, shy and lost boy IMO had a great potential to become a wicked villain.

THE STORY:

Edward was living with Peg and her family for some time. Long enough to realize, that people are mostly meddlesome, vicious and cruel beings, who only care about themselves and their own wicked purposes. And that only a tiny fraction of the world was different and was able to show some empathy and human feelings. Anyway, he faced with definitely too much hatred and experienced too much mindless cruelty. With a broken heart and a broken soul, Edward decided to leave the nightmarish pastel town and come back home, where no one could hurt him. Even there, inside the safe walls of the isolated mansion, he still was not able to forget how the people of the town had treated him and all the mischief he got. Full of anger, he started to come back to town every Saturday night and to take vengeance on the townspeople. Even when all his enemies got killed, he still kept coming to the town under the cover of the night and picking off one person, as pure as the driven snow. Maybe it simply became his habit, maybe he wanted to make all the people pay for his rejection or maybe he had some other, unknown reason. The local police, or even the FBI, that soon got involved in the case of Saturday night murders, was helpless – no one had seen the perpetrator, as he had been dissolving into thin air right after the crime. The unsuccessful investigation of the police was finally closed, as no clues could be found, and only a local legend about a “killer from the hill” was still told among the youth, and another person was missing every week…
