I drew the top after seeing the MLP FiM IDW issue, '' Reflections". Then foxgirlKira broke the news on me the moment I got back in dA. So I drew the bottom. And Kira, 'smiling a lot' is an understatement, as you can see.
To be honest, I was a bit, just a bit disappointed with how they made Octy. She looked different from how she was portrayed in the cannon ponyverse-- Dignified, serious, mature and hot. In Equestria Girls, she looks... she seems so youthful, even with that old school get up, she still looks so preppy and cute. Which is not bad still. But... I was imagining her to be more, well, less child-like. (Though it IS a show for young little girls...)
BUT BAH! IT'S OCTAVIA! AND NOT THAT THOUGHT CAN GET ME TURNED OFF WITH MY FAVORITE PONY!!!
OCTAVIA IS BEST PONY.

I really like the comic series! I have been buying them and reading them! They are sooo good! I love it! I actually just bought issue # 20 from Hot Topic but I can't read it yet because I still need to buy #15, 16, 18, and 19! I already bought 17 (if you were wondering) because it was going to sell out from Hot Topic and I didn't want to wait! X3
I actually don't mind how they made Octavia because she is at least there and that is all that matters to me, plus she looks so adorable!~
Though, I was a tad sad that she didn't sit down with Vinyl...but then again Vinyl did have her music on so I guess she wanted to leave her be. Oh my goodness, I can't wait to watch Equestria Girls 2: Rainbow Rocks and MLP:FiM Season 5!!!!!

Maybe Octavia and Vinyl aren't that close yet here. Maybe they aren't even friends yet! The mingling would be intriuging to see as I imagine them clashing for the first times!!! OH! I wish they could make an animated short about them them too!
