With the recent snow causing absolute chaos across the whole of the UK; cities running low on Grit/salt supplies, cars having to be abandoned in the snow or the occupants are trapped inside and the struggle of the Emergency services, have we seen too much snow?

My answer; Not when landscapes such as this one are captured, showing that despite all the havoc it creates, the snowfall has still created some scenes of pure beauty to be admired at. I must give the artist credit for reminding us that snow is still something to be amazed by with the effect it creates.

What I particularly like about this picture is the glare of the sun off the sea in the background, and the texture the snow creates on the beach and the pavement in the foreground. The darkness of tracks and footprints show that it is more than just a sprinkling with a few brave pedestrians braving the cold to take a stroll along the seaside.

The cold has a beauty all of it's own- build us a snow Tardis or Dalek We can only build a sandman

I like the hue of the blue in the distance, there.

The sun feels enormous! It's great that you've positioned it to the left, actually, otherwise it would have taken our attention away.

The photo is wonderfully balanced and the people within the frame add depth to things too.
