So, I made a new avatar!
It's Pan my fursona/mascot, playing the tin whistle^^

This deviation is the full-version, but the animation was about three times over dA's avatar-limit... So as you can see, I had to remove almost all the animation to make the file small enough

I tried lowering the amount of colors...
I tried different dither and web-snap options...
(oh, and I use Photoshop CS3..)
At it's smallest size where it kept the animation the size was about 5 kb, but it looked somewhat... terrible.
If I make it opaque it's no problem getting it small enough, but I really want it to be transparent! D:
Have anyone else had to deal with this problem? Any miraculous solutions?

Even if it's not exactly how I wanted it, I'm still very happy with my new avatar! The last one was out-dated and anonymous (even if my name was in it)... Now I've included Pan it will be a lot more personal and she'll be easier to recognize and connect to me and my gallery and... stuff... blahblahblah.

Though I had thought of making my avatar something like this, I feel I should thank for the idea!

Oh! And thanks to for showing me the freaking pencil-tool in photoshop! There's a tool I've totally over-looked but looked for for a long time!

*sigh* 'kay, If I go to be now, I can still catch four hours of sleep before school...
