About time Hragi got his ref sheet!
I haven't drawn him since october, so it was nice drawing him again

Can't wait to see him in the comic again - we're only 3 small scenes away from reuniting (I don't know the exact page number yet and if I did I wouldn't want to spoil it )

I should introduce some regular wolves later on.. so you can see how big Hragi actually is! The dire wolves only live in the northern part of this world - and are approx 25% larger and range from white/grey/black, while the southern wolves are typically more brownish/red.

Similarly the northern cave lions (based on panthera leo atrox) also only exist in the north - and are larger, fluffier and have paler coats that the regular cave lions you find further south (based on Panthera leo Spelaea). Nitora and Peccavi are "regular" cave lions. Even further south we have the savannah lions (based on panthera leo - african lions). The difference isn't always noticable except from size and variations in fur-thickness and colour. They're treated more as races rather than different species in this society.

This is only creatively based on reality of course. I don't think panthera leo atrox and panthera leo ever met in reality - also, panthera leo could possibly be descendants of panthera leo spelaea to some degree. What do I know, I'm not a scientist! I'm just using them as inspiration
