Description
On a Beach in the Midst of a Storm

The slap of gasping fish
hauled aboard the groaning rigs
as they wriggle and kiss emptiness
is the only sound besides...
Palm fronds swishing through the airy brightness.

Five fold tendrils creep upon the sand
as a sussurant (grown) sea (now) secures the sighing
of the wind as it whips through the forests bushy hair.
The sweet perfume of wild petals,
a sighing fragrance of passion flying,
is infused within the sunny air.

The swish of fronds is fabric slipping,
letting the sun stroke land made bare.
The warm waves invite skinny-dipping
caressing the beach's smooth and sandy skin,
before, with a heaving sigh, they move out,
Leaving the naked shore a-glistening
Wating for the warm and lurid sun
to infiltrate the reflections of the beach
and slip unnoticed between the cracks
adding lustre where it lacks, shining from above
Gazing upon its verdant beloved:
A great eye which I cannot look into.
