Well, let's say that my flat would be dangerous for a cat because it's full of things which could fall on it if it jumped on a bookcase or so. And it could destroy all the little things like (cat) figures which I can't hide because I have hundreds of books everywhere and there's no room. Unfortunately me and my mother love to collect cute stuff 
And another thing is that we spend most of the holidays travelling and I would need someone to take care of the cat when I'm away.

That can be a nuisance that you can't have anything precious or breakable around if you have cats.
We had our first cat when I was seven so I've been used to it and haven't collected anything like that.
And I always have problems finding someone to look after my cats if I want to travel. One time I had to put them in a cat hotel.

I already learned how to resist the temptation, but I have many souvenirs from the previous years. Maybe if I decide to renovate the flat I'll be able to to something about it.
Anyway, there is a chance that I'll have a cat, but I don't know when ^^ I'll submit a lot of photos when it happens so you'll notice
