Chapter 3
Kari's dilemma

Several days passed, and after many searches in both the real world and Digital World, the Digidestined couldn't find Kari anywhere. Just then all of the old Digidestined led by Tai, Matt, Joe, Mimi, Sora and Izzy decided to split up into teams with their Digimon partners as Tai went with Davis, Ken, Veemon, Agumon, Gatomon and Wormmon searched the west side of the digital world while Sora, Mimi went with Yolei and their Digimon Partners travelled north that left Cody with Izzy and Joe with just Matt and TK together when they set of east of the Digital world and asked every friend they had made over the years.
Meanwhile inside her coffin prison, Kari was thinking to herself,
'I wonder if my friends are looking for me, I just wish I could tell them where I am' she thought when she tried to break free of Mummymon's bandages he had wrapped her in.
While watching over Kari's prison, Datamon turned to her and said,
"We have trouble Ladydevimon since the girls friends have come looking for her" he said.
"No worries Datamon, I will let them see Kari one last time teleport them all here and I'll do the rest" she explained when Datamon hacked into the all the digiports in the North, South, East and West of the Digital World and teleported all of the Digidestined into the room in front of Kari's prison and herself.
When everyone got to their feet, Tai and the original Digidestined looked at Ladydevimon and were shocked to see her when she said,
"Welcome you Digi brats it's been a long time hasn't it Mwhahahaahhaha" laughed Ladydevimon.
"Where's Kari" shouted Tai with Agumon ready to attack her.
"She is safe for now, and I will prove it" she said in reply to Tai's question when everyone turned and saw Myotismon's Coffin standing upright.
In seconds the coffin lid opened revealing a mummified body but because it was tightly wrapped the Digidestined couldn't tell if it was Kari or a dummy. When the mummified body was revealed, the bandages began to unwrap themselves when slowly Kari's face was released from its wrappings.
After Kari's head was unwrapped she blinked a few times to compensate for the light change and shouted,
"Tai, Help me" she said.
"Ok now let my sister go you evil witch" ordered Tai when he took his Digivice off his belt and was about to make Agumon Digivolve but Datamon used his digital arms to grab the Digidestined Digivices and D terminals and store them behind a small pyramid shaped save that only he had the code to.
"Why you little..." said Tai when Agumon launched a Pepper Breath attack at Ladydevimon.
"Don't make me laugh foolish Digimon without the power of Digivolving you can't defeat me.
"No but we can try" replied Veemon when all of the Digimon shouted out their attacks.
"Pepper Breath, Spiral Twister, Super Shocker, Blue Blaster, Marching Fishes, Boom Bubble, Lightning Paw, Vee Headbutt, Hawk Beam, Diamond Shell, Silk Thread" shouted all the Digimon that hit the target and created a large smoke cloud.
"Mwhahahaahhaha" laughed Ladydevimon when she re appeared from the smoke when all of a Sudden an army of Mummymon appeared and fired their snake bandage at the Digidestined and wrapped them up while leaving their eyes showing while Yolei, Mimi, Sora and their Digimon lined up against one wall and the others against the other looking across the room to one another leaving all but Gatomon standing.
The battle continued Ladydevimon and Gatomon when she tried all of her attacks but they weren't strong enough when Ladydevimon said,
"Now it's my turn... EVIL WING" she shouted when a large swarm of bats began to attack Gatomon in doing so burning her.
Just then Gatomon looked at Kari and the others before trying to attack Ladydevimon but with no luck in hurting her.
"I will never give up till you are totally destroyed and deleted permanently" replied a tiring Gatomon.
Suddenly chains appeared from the ceiling and floor and shackles grabbed Gatomon's wrists and ankles and spreading her into a spread eagle position when Ladydevimon raised her arm while the mummified Digidestined could only watch on helplessly as her wing turned into a needle and prepared to destroy Gatomon.
With her friend and partner in danger, Kari screamed,
"NO DON'T HURT HER ANYMORE LADYDEVIMON" she said.
"Uhm... Why not?" asked Ladydevimon with her needle inches from Gatomon's neck.
"If you leave Gatomon alone and my friends then...." paused Kari.
"...I'll join your side" finished Kari when she closed her eyes and looked away from Gatomon and her friends and brother.
"You mean it Digidestined?"
"Kari you mustn't" pleaded Gatomon.
"Yes" replied Kari ignoring Gatomon's pleas.
"Fine, Digidestined I'll release your friend here but your others are our prisoners now and you must call me Mistress" replied Ladydevimon.
"Fine Mistress" replied Kari when she was released from her prison when she walked and held Gatomon in her arms when tears began to build in her eyes.
"Ka...Kari that stuffs cold" replied Gatomon when Kari's tears landed on her ears.
"I'm sorry Gatomon dragging you lot into this" said Kari why hugging Gatomon.
"It's ok Kari, We will get out of this mess somehow" replied Gatomon when she looked and removed one of her gloves and wiped away Kari's tears.
"Yuk that's enough of the mushy stuff, now let her go Kari and stand up and look at me" said Ladydevimon in disgust.
Without hesitating, Kari released Gatomon and stood up and looked at Ladydevimon directly in the evil red covered eyes.
Just then the glass case opened and the costume flew towards Kari and began to equip itself to her body. A tight black latex legging with red demonic eyes and mouths covered her leg and foot covered her right leg completely and covering her waist while her left foot was covered in a small leather boot with a bat insignia on them. The body part was separated in several pieces;
One was a long latex glove covering her right arm. As the other ones attached, her night gown dissolved from her body as the latex pieces covered her body up to her breasts while another piece covered all across the top of her torso up and covering her neck with a demon creature attached to a chain. The pieces were all sewn together as the chain from the creature wrapped around her arm and attached into her leg. Her left arm was covered in a red clawed glove with metal bracelets around it. The final piece of costume was a black latex mask that covered the top half of her face with her hair sticking out but had grown in length travelling down to her shoulders and turned silver. Just then Kari who was now dressed completely in Ladydevimon's outfit, she turned around and looked at her once former friend before the darkness consumed her when suddenly red transparent material covered her eyes and began to glow a red.
