Description Now as they were eating, He said, “Assuredly, I say to you, one of you will betray Me.”

And they were exceedingly sorrowful, and each of them began to say to Him, “Lord, is it I?”

He answered and said, “He who dipped his hand with Me in the dish will betray Me.

The Son of Man indeed goes just as it is written of Him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had not been born.”

~ Luke 22:21-24 (NKJV)

A depiction of the Lord's Supper with verses 14-20 in the sketch itself. I did take a little reference from "The Passion of the Christ", but I guess there are still improvements on historical accuracy (like the layout of the upper room) and the facial features of the apostles. Meanwhile, enjoy and remember God's message here! Spread the word, brethren!

Very nice expressions. In one of the gospel accounts Jesus had the conversation about the betrayer BEFORE he passed the bread and wine and in that account he sent Judas away after identifying him. Some scholars think there should therefor only be 11 desciples sitting with Jesus at the table for the last supper. Just something to consider. Did Jesus make this covenant with all 12 desciples or only 11?

(ps. there is no chapter 26 in Luke. Perhaps you meant 22?)

Well, yeap I would agree that Judas likely went out to the priests just before Jesus instituted the covenant. The scriptural passages that I chose was to emphasize on the significance of the event. So you could say it forms a preview of what is to come.

HAHAHA very observant. I was intending to see who would actually spot the mistake... Until you came along. Just a little game of mine to see if people do actually read their Bible. Heh. That's good, at least you know your Bible!

I try to study and yes, I came to the same conclusion that it is not very likely Judas was still there at the time of the Lords evening meal. Luke was not actually an eye witness but Matthew was and in his account the conversation of who was going to betray him took place before he passed the bread and wine.
not truely the important part of the evening though. Thank you for sharing your art. I believe Tonight is the very anniversary of night - Nisan 14 of the jewish calandar. It was a good reminder to look into those passeges tonight.

Praise God! That's good on you. Hahaha, I actually drew this when I was in high school, so do forgive me if it seems that I have randomly placed a line in accordance to the scene as portrayed.

Haha I see. Yup, I'm so looking forward to Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday. This week is a good week to reflect.
