The wisp hunt thing spawned a side quest! Yaaaaay!
"(Optional Sidequest) You found 50 Baubles! And you've wandered straight into a wild Stryx's territory! They're ready to attack! Do you fight, or flee? Draw or write (600 words min.) your decision and reply with your entry for a +2AP bonus, and to find out what happens next! "
In hind sight, punching a wild harpia in the face while it was still deciding whether to eat them or ignore them was not Hulga's smartest idea. On the other hand, it did give them couple seconds worth of head start that might just have saved their hides, so it all evens out, right? ... Right?

Out of the wild harpia starters I decided to go with Dervish , for reasons . Black ballpoint pen and watercolors because I like making things difficult for myself.
(Psst, does anyone know if I'm supposed to submit this to the Wisp Hunt folder at the group, or just general art one?)

Tekla going for the "I am a tree. I am one with the woods. I am not here" strategy...probably viable if only because Hulga and Murdie are helpfully playing distraction! The expressions here are fantastic

Did you add the watercolours before or after the pen?
If after, I'd love to know the secret to there not being black stains all over the picture.
If before... well, penning over watercolour has always made little pecks on the tip of pens, which need to be removed every damn 5 seconds... is there a trick for THAT, maybe?

The secret to not smudging the pen when splashing watercolors on it: water resistant ink. It's magic.

Next time you co shopping for new markers/pens, check if it says "waterproof" or "water resistant" somewhere on them. Sometimes you can get away with non-waterproof ink without smudging too, if you let the ink to dry properly and are very careful with the watercolors, but I'd rather just go with markers I don't have to think about.

Also if you use solvents, find one that says "chemical resistant" as well. Sakura's Pigma Micron line holds up to both water and solvents fairly well in my experience.

In the Wisp Hunt Folder should be fine. But just in case, in future deviations you could decorate the background with some wisps, to be sure ; )
