100% legit! especially that nansplit! It might still be a bit diagonal, but its a hell of a lot better, especially in shapes and how each part of the body directly connects and relates to all of the other parts of the body.

and nanana has a well developed body shape and all of the parts are in the right place for where they should be

Today is a good day. Man, let me tell ya' though. Hatchik is a weird one. The top of it's body is supposed to be pretty flat, sans the yolk/head, like an actual fried egg. I think people are thinking the two swerves by the feet are it's legs that connect to the feet, but really it's just like one big ol, flat, poofy skirt. I dunno if people know that or if I'm just making baseless assumptions...
I've drawn many of Slurpuff and Vanillish in my time. Vanillish's evo line means a lot to me, personally, seeing as it's one of the most stand-out Pokemon designs in general, and it was one of the first pokemon designed by someone from outside of Asia, that being James Turner. That man is my hero, and that pokemon gives me faith that one day I'll be able to design one too.
