A phenomenal use of the medium! Your fur texture is nice and realistic while still retaining a lot of character and artistic flourishes. I'm curious about your midtones- some of them look so smooth, it looks like you used an eraser, or went back in and added some grey pigment? I can't exactly tell.

Actually, my ink was very transparent. In some places, I left it to just one coat. I'm so glad that you enjoyed it though! This is my first scratchboard project.

It's just like those packs of black paper you can buy at craft stores. The ones where you can use a needle or something to scratch away the black paint and underneath is like gold foil or something? This is just like that, only you put on the black paint yourself.

No....It's nothing like that.
This is a clay treated board where you can paint on ink and then scratch it away when necessary. It's not printmaking, and the scratching itself is not difficult, just planning it out is.
I hope that makes sense.
