Marrakesh ExpressArt takes us places. Wherever the artist has been, or imagined, when they share it, we can go there too. Whether the art envisions a slice of the past, a possible future, or an alternate world, we enlarge our own world and perspective, when we can see it through another person's eyes. Please journey with me to these excellent artists' galleries, and enjoy the charming song by Crosby, Stills & Nash at the end! Bon voyage, and as always, love in Christ! -Debra

I am unfamiliar with Dragon Age, but use the Tarot frequently. I LOVE this art style. Utterly love it. Graphic, clean, dynamic, colorful, bold⦠I would be very interested in seeing a complete set.
I noticed you advertising on many of the other cards in your gallery. While your prices are, unfortunately, outside my reach, were you to consider designing a tarot set, I would be quite interested in acquiring it and working with it⦠which is high praise. (One's tools are a tremendously personal choice.)
Talk to me, if you're interested in symbolism/ideas for milieu...
In the meantime, keep up the great work!

I am working on my own set, but I'm only 11 cards into it, so it'll be a while before I have a completed deck.Β

Stunning. All three are wonderful but the middle drawing feels like it should be included in a DA:I game expansion.

Love this set! Express perfectly the feeling about F!Lavellan and Solas story line.
I'm trying to find the right way to make the Inquisition tarot cards style as well, but nothing so far, I think the cards and the game are really inspiring.
Yours are absolutely amazing, great work.

Wow I love these, really shows the Inquisitor's arc. The Moon is especially ominous considering it can also refer to hidden dangers... very appropriate.
I must do some of these myself.

The issue is mostly finding cards that aren't taken, which only leaves the minor arcana. *sigh*
What's the significance of the little chain on her staff btw?
π: 0 β©: 1
Paperwick In reply to Shio-bookmark [2015-06-22 01:54:47 +0000 UTC]
I say screw all to the cards that have already been done. I'm making my own deck of the characters and Assana very very slowly, and I think all three of mine are major arcana the actual tarots have already done. ; ) Everything's game.Β
The chain is actually her bow string, the bottom part of the bow broke off, though most everyone reads it as a staff. It didn't communicate very well as a bow in the original sketch either, so it's really my fault. β₯

....you know I realised it was a bow and yet....

Paperwick In reply to Shio-bookmark [2015-06-23 15:14:13 +0000 UTC]
Ha ha, that's a bit of a relief then. No, the gold string has no particular meaning, but a cool compositional element.Β

Shio-bookmark In reply to Paperwick [2015-06-24 08:28:28 +0000 UTC]
It was~ If the string snapped, a broken bow could have several meanings.
