I come back to this months later and the image is just as stunning. Better than a photo and worth to be framed and displayed in a gallery. Your still life (cause it classifies as still life, right?) is just tremendous.

It's hard to get such finite details with watercolors in my experience with them, but you seem to have been able to catch little details perfectly regardless. I love the work you put into that rope; The tiny hatching for each strand really catches your eyes' attention and it makes for an excellent center piece for the painting.

Anybody could do anything but that's beside the point. The point is that you're one of the very few who actually pull that off so well. You use your life and time wisely. Wish I didn't lose 1,5 year for playing World of Warcraft and another 2 for when I convinced myself I'll only be writing and stopped drawing all of the sudden... XD;

Okay lets not quarrel, I just have a very low self esteem and am comparing myself to people who draw better all the time (but I guess thats better than being all narcissistic about one's art and stop developing XDDDD)
But oh, Clive Barker, that's a huge compliment <3 I loved loved loved Abarat. It had all those epic illustrations and christopher carcass or what he was called... But I dont know any other books/things by Barker sadly... cept for Hellraiser trollololololol... okay, ill fall silent now, ZLu is coming on skype in few minutes :3

I think you're absolutely fantastic with watercolors. I mean. Wow. It's so beautiifuflflfllfbfbflflff. I wanna be this good with watercolor. But better, because I know I'll clone myself just to murder me if I don't go beyond godly perfection like so. D: Omdffgg. The wrinkles right at the tie thinggggngngngngngngng.
I must do more art. ;D; Looking at your work depresses me. Then it makes me feel more unhumanly ambitious. ;D;

Yeah, I'm still learning the digital side. I'm more talented with the traditional, and I love it, but since my career is going to take me into digital, I'm trying to improve. c: But I will be doing more traditional when I have chances to do it.

It's kind of a long process. Our teacher insisted we do really really really light layers one over another and over another. It comes out really smooth and elegant, or very textured depending on where you're going, but it's a helluva long process. I cheated a lot and did some really dark layers, but he didn't seem to mind. They're really a lot of fun if you have the time to fool around with them. xD Which I hardly have anymore, but I'll make time soon. c: -rambles-

I worked on acrylics since I was kid and I threw away my watercolors in an angry fit as a kid. I've only used oils a couple times because the opening the lids kills my hands.
