I just happened across your page and I'm glad I did. These sketches in particular, though, caught my eye immediately. I really like the line weight and how it varies to accent different features. The overall form of each character is incredible. Your use of shadowing techniques (hatching, etc.) is insane. As a result, the illusion of depth has been achieved with great success. The one on the top-left corner reminds me immediately of something that would come out of Jim Henson's Creature Shop - probably for Labyrinth or Dark Crystal. The eyes of the big guy in the middle at the bottom are captivating to say the least. Again, your choices of where to accent the characters with the darker lines really helps make each of them pop. There are so many layers to each character that make them that much more visually appealing. There is a real sense of emotion for each of them. Excellent work, very well done. -Sean
