I always wanted to create an own character for the "Avatar"-series from nickelodeon.
There are so many great OCs out there! I'm was pretty impressed and also inspired.
As I watched the first season of Korra, I enjoyed all the benders.
But I really missed the swamp tribe! I loved these cute, loveable people. With a great and unique culture and interessting historic background. So I thought, I will just create a swamp-tribe-OC.
I young girl, which wants to be more "modern" while caring about her tradition and origins.
So I gave my best to transform the traditional clothing in the korra-univers, where everything is a bit more modern.
so.... instead of a hat made out of leaves, she simple wears a leave-like headband...instead of the chest band, she wears a green-brown shirt, etc.. etc..
I imagine her character as caring, loving and ambitious.
She has a lot of troubles with prejudist and tries to act smart, girly and modern... she also tends to become pretty angry when someone makes fun of her or her tribe. Later she's more sad about that.
While proud of her origin, she wants to create a better imagine of the swamp tribe and to integrate them.
Furthermore she's just clumsy and cheerful, while being a genius in creating, building and inventing stuff.
I could imagine her going to republic city to find the avatar, because she's pretty crappy at waterbending and extremly ambitious to improve. But even if she's not able to move masses of water or to use water as efficient weapon, she's a great healer.
Over all she has a great knowledge about herbs.
I just think she would fit perfectly.

Oh, and her name is Lia. (all the swamp-people only had three letters in their names )
She's 16 years old, and pretty reasonable for her age.
