Takumi is the second youngest sibling to the Taiyon royal family. He is best known for his archery skills and marksmanship. He wields the Fujin Yumi, a relic that was used by his mother Mikoto. He was devastated at the death of his mother, and he swears revenge against the Nohrians.

If Corrin sides with Hoshido, Takumi is a bit isolated from them. He would do his part but would distance himself from his new allies be it Vallan or Nohrians. Often he's more competitive with even the smallest things. He tries to hide his emotion but will let loose when pushed to the edge. It's all a part of his process of warming up to new people. When he does he's more vocal and can give advice to Corrin revolving archery tactics and even forest survival.

Growing up, he was more of a mother's boy. His father Sumeragi often gave more attention to his brother Ryoma, this roots to his need to prove himself. Living under his brother's shadow has given him competitive attitude. He excelled at archery because that was what Ryoma struggled with the most. While Takumi has good interaction with his sisters, he has a bit of a rough relationship with his brother. He will come to accept that his legacy is what he does not what others do. Only then he will be able to succeed in being the next to inherit the throne.
