Lily couldn't let her parents know about her abnormal pregnancy. If her parents discovered her pregnancy, they would annoy the shit out of Lily as she had always found her parents to be quite annoying. Back when she lived with her parents, they would always try to get Lily and her siblings to spend time together as a family in an attempt to get Lily to stop stressing so much on her future and to relax a bit, whether it is through a dinners out at a restaurant or a vacation to somewhere. Lily for the most part hated spending time with her family as one, she also found her siblings to be extremely annoying as well, and two, she could've spent that time on something productive towards her future like doing schoolwork, applying for colleges, etc. On top of that, her parents were very nosy towards her as they are always asking her about stuff, especially her mom as even now in college, she would text and call Lily almost every day which annoyed Lily. During one call with her mom, she asked Lily if she was pregnant to which she immediately shouted "NO” to her mom. Taken back a bit by Lily's sudden and abrupt response, her mom told her that she was just joking and even if Lily did get pregnant, she assured her that she would support her no matter what. Lily suddenly became a little worried about her mom becoming suspicious of her as she did not mean to shout at her mom and her shouting probably sounded like she's hiding something. But all of that worry and paranoia would soon to be gone as she would get whatever's in her belly out of her before her family can see her again and she can blame her leftover belly fat on freshmen fifteen.
