Go check out her other work, pure eyecandy.

I'm very new to the use of charcoal in drawings, and doing this piece really taught me alot. I'm pretty satisfied with how the bird turned out, allthough it looks like it gained a few more pounds and has less detail compared to the original painting.

Charcoal 1 1/2 - 2 hours maybe?

Wow looks very nice!! I really love the effect it has in charcoal. Definitely softened it up. And I love the beak. Very photo realistic! I think you did a fantastic job and this is definitely being added to my favorites.

You have a remarkable talent with charcoal! Produce more charcoal pieces!!

I'm very happy that you enjoyed this one, my friend. Looking at the picture now (on a brighter monitor), I can see that I need to clean up some areas around the bird, you have no idea how many of my charcoaled fingerprints I had to remove digitally lol.

Anyways, thanks alot for letting me use your painting as a guideline. I'll definetly do more charcoal pieces, and I'm kinda angry at myself for not exploring this technique earlier. Better late than never though

lol yeah I always have to remove the finger marks too. Sometimes I'll leave the smudges just to add character to my picture haha. But yes, please do produce more charcoals. I'll definitely be waiting to see them!

Well thank you This wouldn't be possible at all without the guidence of the Painting though. And usually when making a drawing that is created straight from my mind, it tends to end up kinda dark and "nightmarish". Sometimes I need someone to guide me towards the light.
