Escape From Nevara: Edward End.

Allow me to explain.

commissioned me to draw Ysef interacting with Edward somehow. It could have been anything from a full out battle to the two just insulting each other until the sun went down. I gladly took up the offer.

And then I saw that 's 2 year anniversary was coming up, and I was hit with a nostalgia bomb. I told Kalkie that, if I had been able to go far in EFN, I really wanted for Ysef to be Edward's 'final boss'. But this didn't necessarily have to be the final round. This could have been round 4, or even 3, I didn't mind.

I wanted to play to lose.
Edward is not a character who deserved to win EFN, and I would much rather watch my favourite combatants than knock them out of the competition.

That doesn't mean I didn't want to be a suitable opponent for Ysef, though.
Now, of course, a weedy left-handed Prince with a rapier was doomed the moment he stepped in Nevara, especially if he were to go up against a centuries old Overlord with enough power to bring the world to an end.

So I needed something more potent.

If I had managed to complete my second round, Edward would have been possessed by a Nevaran creature called Vex (actually a monster from a different project of mine that I dragged into EFN); Vex feeds off of negative emotions, hate in particular. So, Edward was an ample vessel.

Hence the Eldritch abomination monster exploding from Edward's face there.

Maybe he even managed to ditch the whole misogynist act in the end, too.

Again, thanks to ~kalkie for being so patient with me, and allowing me the chance to put an idea that I've had in my head for two years to paper, haha. This was great fun for me, and I hope you like this, too.
