HOLY GUACAMOLE. This is gorgeous! You made Tav look great!
You pretty much nailed the expression, like a yearning look. (I'm guessing that's what you went for, seeing the dialogue. Pardon if I'm wrong ^^')
The shading is pretty spot-on, seeing the angle the sun is hitting.
I am also pretty impressed with the background. It is simple, but really helps with the impact of the painting.

Two little things is that I would have made the adam's apple a little more prominent if he were to look more grown up. Second is that the back of his head looks big, like it's further down on the back of his neck. These are seriously just little things. The painting has no massive flaws.
