„Tsukki, did you hear? They finally set up the ice rink by the mall,“ I try to aim the topic to the point I want to make.
„So? Neither of us skate,“ Tsukki shrugs, looking at me from the corner of the eye. „Plus, the ice is cold.“
„I guess you're right,“ I answer quietly, looking down.
After some time of silence, Tsukki opens his mouth: „Why? You wanted to go or something?“
„I mean, I suppose,“ I start explaining awkwardly. „The town is really pretty at this time of year..“
„Is it because (l/n) might be going?“ he bluntly interrupts.
I gulp slightly, apparently loudly enough for him to hear as he chuckles and adds:
„I knew it. I guess, I can come along for a bit.“
I gaze onto his face in disbelief, looking for signs that he's lying. After seeing his expression is completely serious, I smile slightly. Today's the day, I'm going to tell her.

„I'll pay for the skates,“ I say as we approach the renting booth.
„Fine by me,“ he shrugs slightly and makes his way towards the entrance of the rink.
I thank the lady at the booth and step over to Tsukki. As we take a seat by the entrance, I notice Tsukki looking over his shoulder from time to time. When I gaze over to look in the same direction, I can't make out anything special.
„What's so interesting over there?“ I ask quietly, leaning forward.
„A-ahm, nothing,“ he baffles, hurriedly tying laces of his right skate. „Let's go, so we could get home faster.“
He stands and walks into the rink, me following him shortly. While gliding slowly by the sides of the rink, Tsukki suddenly asks:
„So, what's the plan? We find her and then I leave?“
„Well, I don't know... I was kind of hoping just to see her and then go from there.“ I say, trying to hold my balance as we turn.
Tsukki sighs, frowning slightly: „I know and you know, that you would totally mess up then. You need to go and sweep her off her feet.“
„But she might get hurt...“ I try to poke in.
Tsukki looks at me with the biggest 'are you kidding me' look he has ever given me, and then I understood what he had meant.
„Sorry.. Do you have any tips?“ I say, grasping onto the ledge of the ice rink.
„Why not ask her on a date, right now? You can skate together or something, I don't really care,“ he answers after thinking for a while.
His idea sounded better than any idea I've ever had, but there was one question stuck in my head.
„Hey Tsukki..“
„Hm?“
„Why did you agree to come here with me?“
He hesitates for a moment and then says:
„It's clear that you like her. You make it so obvious. If you were to come here alone, you wouldn't have the courage to talk to her. Talking about (l/n), there she is.“
Before I could react to Tsukki's unusually kind words and to the fact that he pushed me away towards the centre of the rink, I was standing next to (l/n), her arm around me.
„Whoa, where'd you come from?“ she laughs, letting go of me.
I look behind for a second, frowning at the overly-amused Tsukki before he turned and skated away. I face back to (l/n), meeting her (e/c) eyes, inspecting me. The fact that she stood so close to me, made me lose my balance and I fell to her arms again.
„S-sorry,“ I stutter, gaining back my balance. „I've never been too graceful on skates.“
She giggles, her happiness helps me gain confidence to:
„Hey, um.. Do you want to get something warm to drink?“
She nods eagerly and exclaims: „I'd love to.“
As I try to move while holding my balance, she gently takes my hand to make sure I stay standing.
„S-sorry,“ I mumble again, feeling my cheeks heat up.
„It's fine,“ she smiles at me, a wild blush dancing on her cheeks.
