Description I hate Eamon. I have made no attempt to hide how much that old man rubs me the wrong way. In my headcanon, he never really gave a damn about Alistair and only took him in because he wanted to remain on Maric's good side. I could go on an on about reasons why I don't like this guy, but this particular little picture is about Teagan, so let's chat about him a bit.

It's obvious from how happy Teagan is to see Alistair alive that he genuinely cares for the boy. So why not say he was the one who really fixed that amulet Alistair broke after finding out he was being sent to the Chantry? My headcanon has Teagan painstakingly piecing it back together and then giving it to Eamon to return to Alistair during one of his visits to Denerim... and Eamon shoving it in the back of his desk drawer, never to be seen again. That's why the Warden finds it there, of all places.

I agree with you I never liked Eamon and when I played the DLC when you go back to Ostagar made me more angry and he's racist to cause in his eyes my elf wasn't good enough to rule with Alistair even if she saved him and his family. But Teagan I to bad you can't romance him.

Love this idea! I agree with your dislike of Eamon. I cannot stand him, and I hate that he somehow hides an heir to the throne so cruelly (why wasn't that treason, anyway), works against the rightful queen (and why wasn't that also treason), so casually decides Alistair's fate after so cold-bloodedly casting him aside, and yet somehow still comes out Mr. Shiny Pants. Gah.

I sooo wish there had been an option to let the old goat die and make Teagan Arl. One of the NPC knights mentions something about it right after you resolve the castle issue, before Eamon is saved. If I'd been given the option, my warden would have been all over that decision.

I like this idea! I like Eamon in terms that he does a good job of handling the Landsmeet but he does seem indifferent towards Alistair for the majority of the time.... Whereas like you have pointed out Teagan seems really happy to see him! Therefore, this idea if is awesome!

I KNOW RIGHT! I despise Eamon! I feel like Eamon just wants more of a foothold in the Royal House with Alistair and that's why he decides to be an adviser. My head canon with my F!Cousland who becomes queen in a Fanfiction is a perfect example of how I write his real personality later on.

Just wait until you see how I write him... manipulative, self-serving, and racist. Needless to say, Alistair ends up telling him off after the Landsmeet.

Funny I've never seen this before...but I completely agree with you now that this has been pointed out to me. I don't hate Eamon as such - I'm really quite indifferent to him - but it does make sense that Teagan would have repaired the amulet instead of him, and their reactions to seeing Alistair were, admittedly, worlds apart.

Why would Eamon have repaired it, and then shoved it in a drawer? He was probably thinking, "bloody spoilt brat" about Alistair and put it in there to forget about it. Who knows? But it's something to think about...

You know, after spending some time and talking with both characters (Teagan and Eamon) I can agree with this. Bann Teagan just seems more like a caring type while Eamon also rubbed me the wrong way.

Even his wish to put Alistair on the throne was not the whole having one of the Theirin line ruling Ferelden thing but because Alistair would turn to him for help.

Yes! Exactly! No matter how much I hated Loghain, I can agree with what he said about Eamon wanting a puppet on the throne in the form of young, inexperienced Alistair. I love you so much right now!

Yay! Love!

That is true. Why can't we make Teagan the king? He'd make a good king.

Well... Like Eamon said: He and Teagan only have a claim through marriage - because their sister was Maric's wife and Cailan's mother. But one of them going after the throne would have looked as bad as Loghain did.

My headcanon is that Eamon's a politician like Anora is. Teagan and Cuilan are more genuine.Β
