Description There's a serious lack of good Bug Pokémon and the only good ones are Physical Sweepers.
Of course there's STAB but how many get Mega Horn or Silver Wind?
Even Surskit, the only Bug/Special dual type loses it to become one of the many Bug and flying.
Volbeat, the only Pokémon that learns Tail Glow naturally (a move that raises Sp Attack by two levels), has a base Special Attack of 47 which is absolute crap.

So anyway, here's my answer. Wattle (Watt/Beetle), a Bug/Electric with decent stats to be either sort of sweeper.

Why I'd like him:
He'd be able to learn Tail Glow and Signal Beam as although he doesn't have a tail he has glowing eyes. How many Pokémon have glowing tails anyway? At least he has some way to emulate it.
He'd be able to learn Mega Horn as he has those two little ones.
He has gloves/hands so he'd be able to learn at least Thunder Punch (and maybe Fire Punch) and Mega Punch/Brick Break/Focus Punch.
He'd probably have Confuse Ray and be able to learn Flash because of his eyes.
He'd be able to learn Giga Drain (maybe Solar Beam too) because even Volbeat can.
He has wings so he'd have Levitate as an ability and Aerial Ace. Even Dugtrio can learn Aerial Ace.
So he'd be super-versatile.

Also, I made a little pre-evolution for him which I might upload.
Wattle is © me.

Sweet Ive always wanted a bug versatile sweeper... Great job and good ideas! (Isn't Guillotine a 1-hit KO?)

Well, it's nice, but Bug Pokemons are weak with Fire type attacks.
You should give some abilities such as Wonder Guard (Shedinja).
Wonder Guard is very useful ability.
If you want to give it WonderGuard ability, you must give its HP more than 1.
Shedinja have Wnder Guard, but no matter how high its level, its HP keep on 1 pts.
Oh yeah, give it some One-hit KO Attacks.
Or give it some powerful rare attacks.
That would be useful.

1. I know about Shedinja and Wonderguard could effectively make many Pokémon uber or at least bordering on it.
2. OHKO attacks are nearly as bad as Double Team and scream "Hax", Pokémon with crappy movepools or stats (such as Seaking, maybe Dewgong) should get them, not Pokémon like Lapras.
3. I realise I made up this one so I could basically give it any attack I want but that would be boring and make it -too- useful. Anyway the typing and Levitate makes him get at least neutral damage from quite a few Pokémon.
4. The only "powerful rare" move that would be appropriate (that I haven't mentioned) would be Volt Tackle and that's reserved for Pikachu of course and it's not even that good compared to thunderbolt. Tail Glow is, in essence, a powerful move and considering Volbeat's is the only Pokémon that learns it besides Smeargle, it's rare.

Or you can give it something like Magnitude.
It's quite strong for any Pokemon.
Well, powerful rare attacks is attacks that like Water Spout, that is skill of Kyogre and Walmer/Wailord.
Eruption, skill of Groudon.
Outrage, skill of Rayquaza.
I'm still for some great Pokemons.

Er, Magnitude sucks, the damage is random.
Rock Slide (you could argue Rock Blast) is the staple Rock move.

Water Spout isn't any good as HP goes down and a LOT of Pokémon can get in a hit before Kyogre and certainly Wailord so you'll very rarely get a full power one.
Same for Groudon as they both share the same base Speed.

Outrage, although with another 10 points in power, is pointless with Dragon Claw.
Why confine yourself with it when your Pokémon gets confused and even if you do take something out with it they can just switch in something resistant to it? Although that's not likely since there are virtually no Steels in normal play, something with Ice Beam and a better speed will most likely take it out.

Well, what about Fissure, Sheer Cold, and Horn Drill?
Those are one-hit attacks that I only know.
If you give it Levitate, it will be save if the partner have Magnitude or Earthquake.
Oh, I forgot to tell you.
There is some moves that only healing, loke Moonlight, Slack Off, and... etc?
Only those that I know for healing.
And there is another one, attacking + healing, like Absorb, Mega/Giga Drain.
You just choose it "some".
