cloudy but flowery too - the red leaf shadows give the impression of flowers. really nice juxtaposition there at the center - with the dark areas, and the diagonal from the clouds down into the brightness, that's really effective.

depending on whether one reads left to right or right to left, the looser shapes on the left are being reined in - or the tighter right hand side is unpacking itself.

i'm sitting staring at this... strong work!

a little different from my usual diptychs. but i liked it instantly when i tried it.

this is one of my countless tries to get the clouds in the good place (they are in a print on a wall, again. that explains the clear area under my face, the print is black, the wall white)

i'm sitting staring again... the way the line below your face leads all the way across the picture, with the dark shadow, the reddish shadow, and one long tree needle that meets them - so the picture is bisected horizontally as well as vertically - is really nice.

i know, i'm going on and on! i think because it's a little different, as you said.
