From a solely tactical perspective, yes. From a moral standpoint, I think it was completely despicable, but that's called war. You can't dish out firepower without expecting to get hit back. I've just watched the early BBC news on what is happening in Gaza City. Why does the USA and the UK keep on supplying top grade weapons to Israel. Their MBTs, Drones and Fighter Aircraft are the latest generation? To answer my own question, I think we all know why.
There was footage of the burial of a 5 DAY old Palestinian child who was born from her DEAD mother. The rest of the World does nothing!! Mark Regev, the Israeli Prime Minister's 'Spokesman'. read 'Spin Doctor', says that there will be "an investigation and if it is found that the bombing/shelling of schools and refugee centres was Israel's 'fault', then Israel will apologise, big deal. In an other interview, the prospect of the Israeli Defence Force occupying Gaza is very likely.
Some Israeli people themselves are protesting against this conflict, war, others want to see the expansion of the Israeli State. Some forget that the State of Israel was founded on and built from Terrorism. Nobody can deny the 'right' of Israel to 'exist', why can't Israel and the World do the same for the Palestinians? Again, I think the question answers itself. Sanctions by the US, UK and the EU are being imposed on Russia for its barbaric activities in the Ukraine. Why not try the same sanctions on Israel?

Palestine has no navy, army, or air force.. Israel warns Gazans that their houses will be bombed soon by a phone call, followed by a small bomb. With no where to evacuate (Israel and Egypt have closed the borders) they bomb their houses within the next 10 minutes.
Israel has an iron dome, and an app that tells them when the next 'attack' condoned by 'Hamas' when in reality its just a, ineffective homemade bomb that could be made in a 7th grade chemistry class.
This isn't a war, its a genocide.

Before 1948, the palestinians ( or what you want to call them ) lived in certain parts of the land then called Palestine. Much of those parts was taken away from then by the Israeli. And the Israeli keep taking away more of what's left of it. Period.

If you mean on a HOUSEHOLD level, that's another story, but there's a point here that those "Pals" were forced to become "refugees" by their ARAB "brothers" who:
1. Promised them to make short work of destroying Israel, so the "refugees" would RETURN home.
2. When it failed, the "brothers" REFUSED to accept those "refugees", leaving them in a PERMANENT HOMELESS STATE.
Funny, but there's quite a number of ISRAELI ARABS, who were absorbed into Israel and live quite happily (even have political power).
So, IF the "refugees" would agree to be ABSORBED by Israel (for which they first have to ACCEPT Israel's EXISTENCE) - the problem would be solved in like a MONTH or something like that.
The entire BLAME lies on the stubborn "refugees" AND the ARAB WORLD for exactly the above reasons.
