Here's a story of me being stupid in a Zelda game;
Recently I played A Link To The Past for the first time, I got through to that one dungeon where you're with Zelda and you have to go to the sanctuary
so I stayed there and couldn't figure out what the hell to do to get past that one block you had to push, I had no idea I had to push it and I SWEAR I tried
maybe it was because I grabbed it then tried to push I don't know but i eventually looked it up and i got so damn salty when i read what i had to do.

Uggh I had something like that happen to me in the city in the sky temple in Twilight Princess, I ran around for hours and it turned out all I need to do was grapple onto something on the ceiling

LOL, same here! Specially in OOT! I muted the TV every time I'd go to the Market! That "Whoooooo-ooooooo..." creeped me out!

Which version bugs you the most? They've gotten some pretty cool redesigns over the years.
I felt like the ones in Ocarina of Time were particularly jarring because they froze you completely. It's more unnerving to not see Link fighting off their magic at all, even though you can.

I would have to agree with you and say the version from OoT gets to me the most. When I first encountered them in my childhood I had no idea you could get away after they had grabbed you XD not only that but I personally feel that their scream is worse as well
