Description
Satsuma was a semi-dreadnought battleship built for the Imperial Japanese Navy in 1906. At the time of her launching, she had the largest displacement of any battleship in the world. It was originally intended that Satsuma would be the world’s first big gun battleship, predating the Dreadnought by some months. But due to the lack of armaments from the cost of Russo-Japanese War. She was only equipped cheaper armaments, they were 4 x 305mm guns and 12 x 254mm guns.

I was so excited when reading about this ship so I decided to make her. Also her laid down date is same as my birthday so yeah, there was nothing holding me back. XD During modeling time, I got a lot of troubles, mostly came from her information. I could find only her simple sketch blueprint and some colorized pictures on internet. So I had to contact some acquaintances in JP for helping me. That’s why I couldn’t complete her earlier.
