Description
My first couple of adopted ocs I finally drew in my style.

These two were previously mentioned in a wip I posted of my Uru design. But it wasn't until the past couple months I had faces to go along with the names. So, here they are!

Hua (Dove) is the oldest of the two by several months I'd say. She's pretty laid back, easy going. A well liked member of her pride. And Buru (Crazy) is a bit of a rambunctious youth. Though as he grows older, he becomes the total opposite of his birth name.

When Hua was very young, before Buru was even born, her mother had been banished from her former lands due to having mated with a rogue (it was a rule in their pride that all lionesses were to be betrothed to "worthy suitors" and not "lowlife outsiders"). She had taken her daughter and they had run with Hua's father for a short while before coming upon Uru's pride and joining them. Her mother became one of the pride's best huntresses and her father was tasked with patrolling the borders.

Hua soon befriended a fellow low rank cub, Uru, with whom she spent most of their cubhood hanging out with. It wasn't long (maybe a few months) after settling in that Buru was born.

And when Buru was only a couple months old, a sickness plagued the lands. Many animals fell sick, even the lions. And the sickness was devastating. One by one, many lions died, the king and queen being some of the first. When Hua and Buru's parents fell ill, it was Uru who realized those who were healthy must flee to live.

So they did. Uru, her mother, grandmother, cousin, Hua, Buru, and a fellow pride sister wandered far, looking for a new place to call home. And in their search, the meet a teen Ahadi and his mother. And so on.

Some of the lions I've adopted and created were for background characters mainly with no big purpose. But Hua and Buru actually do have a purpose of sorts for my universe. For one, Buru winds up being father to my other oc Ufahamu, who is Mufasa's second mate. And Hua is Nala's grandmother!
