It's weird but true. Eridan, I've only recently decided to TRY to give a break because behind the genocidal, condescending douchebag bit and the messed up things he did on the meteor was a really lonely guy who just wanted to be loved, and while I'll NEVER like him I figured I'm probably being too harsh. Still, because Eridan IS a genocidal douche, I'll never even sort of like him. Gamzee on the other hand, even knowing what my sibling told be about Terezi, and him killing Karkat, etc, didn't get me disliking him. I only ended up conflicted on topΒ of still beingΒ as intrigued as ever. .... I hate when authors, etc are too good at making likable bad guys and non-bad guy antagonists.

I know! I just caught up, and I KNOW especially with how I usually am that I should at least mildly dislike him. But I'm more half disappointed that one of the most interesting characters has been demoted to badguy and my ridiculous insistence on holding onto hope that the friendly goof that first ensnared fans' feels is still in their somewhere half confused by my conflicting feelings on the matter. Plus I feel like there MUST have been an ignored option that would bring him back to the protagonists.
