Shaving can be a real time consuming task. It is the cheapest method up it does time more time and skill as you have to be careful not to cut yourself. Using a women razor would be to your advantage as well though as they are intended for legs.

AWWW!!!
That's cute~~ x33333

How do you shave so perfectly though??
Every time I shave, I end up cutting myself...which is why I want to get Nair or something instead....plus I cant spend too much time in the bathroom because I have such a big family. ><

I literally spent an hour in the shower shaving this morning ;Β
And I know what you mean! I almost always cut myself.
I think it's because my razor is dull...
This time I used a new one, and everything came off with no problem!
Other than that, I really don't have any good advice ;Β

NintendoSensei77 In reply to pastelcatboy [2014-04-30 07:15:41 +0000 UTC]

Oh...I cant really tell if a shaver is dull or not...
So maybe thats why...xD

But...do you usually get a painful itch eventually after shaving your legs?
It's been happening to me every time...do you know how to stop that from happening?
(Not caused by the cuts...I think maybe its because of ingrown hair or something like hair getting stuck from dry skin? I do notice after I shave, I see some hairs trapped inside my skin sometimes creating a little redness...><)

pastelcatboy In reply to NintendoSensei77 [2014-04-30 07:19:50 +0000 UTC]

That used to happen when I shaved a lot.
Now, I only shave when my hair gets long
(maybe once a month?)Β
I think using after shave or shaving cream might help.
But, I'm not really sure n.n"

NintendoSensei77 In reply to pastelcatboy [2014-04-30 07:29:48 +0000 UTC]

Hmmm...I heard hair can be mean when shaved too much at once...so maybe I should do that too...
Until I try out nair or veet...but that may take too long of a wait...xD

What is 'after shave'? I remember seeing that a few times when I tried researching the problem in the past...but I never got what they meant about after shaving.
...what kind of shaving cream should I use?
My dad has shaving cream for his facial hair (sometimes I use it too xD) so would that work? Or would only certain shaving creams work better?
...sorry for so many questions...><
Im a little too excited to talk to someone about it rather than searching it up on the internet. >w<''

I'm interested in trying Nair or Veet too, but my girlfriend said it can burn your skin @.@
So I'm afraid to ~
After shave is some kind of liquid that soothes your skin after shaving.
I've never used it before so I'm not entirely sure how it works.
Same with shaving cream, I've never actually used it.
I always just use hot water (which softens the hair and makes it easier to cut)Β
and a razor for men (I should probably use a woman's razor).Β

NintendoSensei77 In reply to pastelcatboy [2014-04-30 18:33:58 +0000 UTC]

Hmmm...I might still try one of these days...x3
...maybe...xD
After shave sounds less deadly though lol...so I might go with that...do you know if its a product for it? Or is it a trick name?

OH YEAH! I used a womans razor before...but I felt bad for stealing my Mom's (possibly my sister's too...if they share it...)
But it did shave better than the man's razor...x3

I can't lie, it's very painful!
But the results are better, last longer and does not itches when is growing!
And after some time doingΒ  this, the hair weakens, grow less and become less painful...

NintendoSensei77 In reply to samyoliver [2014-04-30 19:15:41 +0000 UTC]

That would be nice...I'm getting really sick of my body hair. ><
But...which is more painful? Waxing or nair/veet when/if it burns?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

samyoliver In reply to NintendoSensei77 [2014-04-30 20:37:30 +0000 UTC]

Well, I do not shave me for a long time to say!
I used recently veet and it does not hurt, but if you don't want to burn you have to pass in a small area, wait, remove, pass in a small area, wait and remove...
For a small area, I think it's better use veet because it's easier, but all the leg, for example, it will took a long time!
By the way, the results aren't so different...

Hmmm....how does waxing work exactly?
Since these days things have changed so it may be different from the last time I seen it happen on someone else. xD

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

samyoliver In reply to NintendoSensei77 [2014-05-05 12:07:14 +0000 UTC]

Well, basically you remove hair by the root, not cutting like when you shave.
There's some ways to do, you can use hot wax, cold wax, roll-on, tweezer (only if you don't have too much hair) and philips satinelle (is a "super tweezer", I use this). I just know these...
The final result and pain varies from person to person, I recomend you try each one and see which is better for you.
For me the best is hot wax but, where I live, is very expensive to do frequently.

I hate to say this but...when my hair grows...theres A LOT. ><
...stupid male gene...or whatever creates the hair...xD
Um...does waxing um...have something you put on your skin and then you pull it off?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

samyoliver In reply to NintendoSensei77 [2014-05-06 13:25:08 +0000 UTC]

I had the same problem... but now that I'm doing waxing frequently (I started about one year), I can see that is growing less!

As I said, there's a lots of ways of waxing. I do one that they put hot wax on the skin, waits a little to get cool and harden slightly and pull the wax (this is the part that hurts).
I saw one that they put wax in a plastic paper, put in the skin and pull the paper.

Waxing with wax is interesting you go to a beauty clinic to do because it isn't easy to do alone and without training.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

NintendoSensei77 In reply to samyoliver [2014-05-14 19:39:29 +0000 UTC]

Do you have to pull it off before it hardens too much?
(' o ')''

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

samyoliver In reply to NintendoSensei77 [2014-05-14 19:53:42 +0000 UTC]

Do you want to do by yourself? (seriously, it's difficult)
And yes, before it hardens too much, if not the wax becomes brittle and you get more pain... This I'm talking about the kind of wax that I use!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

NintendoSensei77 In reply to samyoliver [2014-05-15 20:38:39 +0000 UTC]

I was thinking of waxing myself since im not a social type of person...and I get shy/nervous easily.
But I might just go with the nair/veet...^^''

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

samyoliver In reply to NintendoSensei77 [2014-05-16 02:16:03 +0000 UTC]

Well, to do by yourself is easier use the Philips Satinelle, but is better try once to see if you can handle it.
Nair/veet is ok too, if you try something is a good start!

We'll see i guess...but you know whats strange? I dont have any problems when shaving my arms...no matter what I do. Except a few days later, ONLY my underarms? (the space between them) gets lots of small but thick-ish bumps but they dont itch or anything. o.O

Sometimes, the skin is very annoying...
If you were sweaty or with some cream it can irritate!

Wow, what type of waxing did you try?
I tried at least 3 types and all of them were very effective, but some are more painful than others...

AuskaTarquinEireonus In reply to samyoliver [2014-04-30 13:51:34 +0000 UTC]

It was some store brand that we bought from Target. It could be that because it was a cheap brand that it was ineffective. Which do your use?

Today I use the Philips Satinelle in the body by myself (very painful, but is cheap), and I use hot wax at private parts (I go to a beauty clinic to do this).
Hot wax in the body is the less painful, but the most expensive.
Once I tried the roll-on wax, but was very very painful for me and a little pricey.
And once I tried to do the hot wax at home with my wife, but she isn't trained and this thing is not easy, so no way!

You are welcome!
Phillips is very good, but I'll warn you right now that the first attempt will be very painful! Then you get used...
And soon after waxing, is good take a hot shower and use a neutral soap... this relax and helps the skin!
