Description Meet RESA
♡ short for Teresa
♡ travelled to Peru, Australia and and Moscow on her gap yahh
♡ owns the largest collection of liquid lipsticks EVER.
♡ cries at cute elderly people in movies

Originally I tried to do this using coloured lines. I started by block colouring the sketch to get an idea of the colour scheme, and then painstakingly changed colour every time I needed to (because colour exchange was being glitchy...) but then I changed everything back to the brown I used and I think I like that a lot better, so this is obviously the dark lines version, but I uploaded the blended lineart on my stash, which you can see here: Resa (2)  if you want to ^^

I'm not 100% happy with this version of her design though, so I might come back and re-draw her at a later date!

Ooh, I love that she has such a large lipstick collection 8D I also have the same curiosity as Maddie does, ahah.

If you have any questions about using GIMP (I think you said previously that that's what you use?), I'll be happy to try to help!
I usually have all my lineart on one layer (rather, I create it on several layers and then merge it all), and then make a layer called "BASE COLOURS" underneath it. I'll use the Fuzzy Select Tool on the lineart layer to select the area(s) I want to colour, Select > Grow > 1px, then fill with colours on the base colour layer. If I need to change colours, I'll Lock Alpha Channel in the Layers dialogue, then use the Select By Color Tool, then flood fill the area with the new colours. (If it selects more areas than I want, then I'll go back to the lineart layer, fuzzy select, and do that whole thing over again but with a new colour.)

She'll definitely be wearing different shades - but like with a lot of lipstick owners they end up having the same shade only very slightly different from, like, 8 different brands! XD

Ooo! Thank you! I will try this next time, as I was never really sure what 'locking' did XD I use grow for the white outline, but I never thought of using it for colouring before, which is genius, so thank you so much, Carissa! <3

You're so welcome! ^^ I don't even remember how I learned these things because I definitely didn't discover them on my own xD

I guess that makes sense! Haha. I own I think four different lipsticks, but they're all different colours x) Hot pink, cherry red, a sort of plum/maroon, and outright purple! I keep wanting to buy more, but I'm like, "Ehhh, not only do I not have the money, but they're going to look similar to either my natural lips or what I already have... I guess I don't need it."

Love, love, love her lips and hairstyle 💖💖 Does her lipstick collection mean they'll be a different shade overtime you draw her?
