-Updated ref for my Duckverse OC because her design changed

ever since I first have drawn her so I thought I make a new one to

reflect the way I draw her better.

Also i´ll still probobly mostly just use her for DWD =w=

Not much has changed though some small things like her beak is bigger

now (because I always drew it bigger than on the first ref I made for her)

And some minor changes to both outfits like, the hair in her Black Starling costume

being a bit longer.

Oh and I gave her shoes in her casual outfit since I started to think that I looks werid

that she does not wear some. Not all but ost characters in Ducktales and DWD wear

shoes, again not all but most do!

For the most part however her design was not changed since I like it to much to change

big things about it =w=

Other changes I made are changes to her story to at least explain a bit better why she behaves

like she does. Does it excuse that she can be a horrible person? No, no it does not and it´s not

supposed to but I thought It at least explains a bit more.

~Story:

-Vanessa Hummings was born in a family of lawyers and politicans, in

general more high standing people in society. Thus they had not very high

thoughts of people "not on thier level" and pushed thier belives onto the youngest

member of the family, Vanessa. Because of this she grew up for the longest time

that she had to fill some kind of standard to please the people around her and to

not stand there as the only one in her family who would not end up in some high

society role. But the older she got the more she realized how she ha had other interests

that did not fit into her family. So she started to act like her family wanted her on the outside

while doing things she had actuall interest in when she was alone, like an interest in machinery and

robotics, comics and videogames and so much more that her family would never allow her to do

or even just show the slightest interest in. Her family had a hand in almost everything in Vanessas live,

what she would wear, how she had to behave and even when she found her first real friend,

Annabelle Meowgan, she was only allowed to stay friends with her because Annabelles mom was

a famous actress.

Everything was controlled and Vanessa grew sick of it the oder she grew. Wanting at least something

more normal in her live she actually had to beg her parents to let her visit normal schools so she could

at least see her only friend at a regular basis. Her parents allowed that under the condition that her

grades would be good (like everything under a B was considered bad by them).

Going to normal schools at least allowed Vanessa to make more friends though Annabelle always

stayed her best friend as she was the only one that was not just friends with Vanessa because

of her parents status. In highschoool Vanessa quickly became one of the "popular girls", or better

said: the girls that think they are better than anyone else that does not share thier popularity

status on the school.

Despite the fact that Vanessa hated the fact how her parents took away her freedom

it can´t be denyed that she took over some of thier perspectives on some people, at least to a certian extend.
And thus she had very low expectations on the people she needed to work with as she joined a tutoring class

after school where students could help one another,wich Vee really needed, as her math grades started to drop.

Vanessa mostly spend her time there being bored by Elmo Splutterspark and his failed attempts of trying to teach

her about the math formulas she did not understand. At first she just found him boring and annyoing, not only was

he the exact opposite of everything she ussually likes to see in a guy, he also was considered to be a very unpopular

person, the "you´ll find him pushed into a locker every other lesson" unpopular kind of guy. But the more time they

spend with one another the more Vanessa actually got better at math and Elmo showed genuine sighns of actually

careing about her getting better (despite his expression barely changeing). They started to talk more about different

things, hobbies and general interests and Vanessa started to see him as more than just the unpopular nerd.

However that still did not change the fact that her "friends" did never treat him well while Vee often just stood there

doing nothing, to wich even Annabelle called her out on.

After a long back and forth between actually haveing fun and spending time with Elmo and being with her so called

friend group who just bullied everyone under thier standard and the end od highschool drawing near Vanessa

was told by Elmo that she actually needs to decide now who is more important to her, her fake friends or the

ones who actually care for her. Instead of actually makeing a decision however she just left and went on live

and to find a job in Duckburg, only staying in contact with Annabelle and her parents.

Vanessa later found work in a research facility in Duckburg that was focused on

way to make peoples lifes better in generall with existing techonologie.

Vanessas work focused on, basicly a new form of therapie, she wanted soundwaves

to help a patient relax when they suffer from to much stress by conecting them to a

solar powered mashine she invented that would basicly submit the sound into thier head,

sound like thier favorite music. (on a sidenote, the "solarpowered" thing is only put here to

give her an actuall weakness. Could not think of anything better )

However, since she could not offer any prove that her prototype mashine actually

works she was not allowed totest it until she could prove it would work without

blowing up. But how should she do that without even testing it in the first place?
So she made what she felt she had to, she stole some technologie from her workplace

and tested her invention on herself in the garage of her own home. And...at first everything

was working fine and as intented. However the mashine qucikly overheated and exploded in

a small energy explotion in which Vanessa got cought in.

Vanessa had fainted for a shile after she got cought in the explotion but after she woke up

she was fine (besides a little headache). What she found to bemuch worse was not only

that her invention was now destroyed but also that someone at her workplace found out

that she stole some parts for her invention to test it at home. She was fired the same day

she was found out and fell into quite a depressing state that was only made worse by the

fact that she felt constand headaches while listenng to music and that bright light made her

feel weird...not bad weird..just weird.

To start anew she moved away...well actually she moved back to the city right next to Duckburg,

St.Canard, where she was born and where her best friend Annabelle was still living in and she thought it would maybe help

her having a friend around. Sadly her life did not get that much better and she also could not find

any employment, because of her now tainted reputation, besides a small job in a cafe near Annabelles

work place. After about a month after her move and the failed experiment her constand headaches

when listening to music where still there however and when she finaly decided to see a doctor about

it the stehroscope could not get her heart beat and seemingly broke even. Through this

(and some testing and...accidents at home) Vanessa noticed she could control the sound around her.

Also te reason she felt so weird in the sun was because her powers basicly charge through bright light.

Durign the day she is still herself but during night she now started to cause havoc with her newfound powers.

Her entire thought proces has basicly turned into " If you don´t want me to make your life better,

im going to make it worse!"
