You feel like you´re freezing and empty inside.
I actually just made this because I had the idea and just had to draw it right away!
I guess I came up with this because I just had a dissussion over the last few days as to why I don´t like Apritello,
or better said the couples in TMNT 2012 in generall.
I don´t want Donnie to suffer but I thought that this was kinda fitting after the conversation I had with another user
about this whole couple thing the show tries so hard to shove down everyones troat

To be honest I'd sometimes yell at my phone to April "Just hurry up and smash his heart already!!" April clearly doesn't have romantic feelings for him so she's just in a way playing with his emotions. Also I never liked the fact that Donnie likes her. 1 because it totally reks his character. Like if he's doing something or somethings happening April related he'd sometimes become a jerk! especially towards Mikey Casey Raph Karai & even Baxter the night he became a fly! Just because of either jealousy, signs of not having a chance or a slight harm to her or her family he has to be a dick about it and it upsets me because he is my favorite turtle infact, and seeing him turn into a half Yandere really bugs me especially since April AGAIN doesn't feel the same and just let's it continue! If you must know I actually was hurt like that a girl I thought was my friend and lover turned out to be playing with my feelings the whole time and never felt the same so to be seeing this Katara in ginger clothing do it to one of my favorite cartoon characters urks me. 2nd reason is because well. I don't like Beastiality! Ok call it what you want fandom but it's still Beastiality. And that's kinda sick, Ok yes we make Canon OCs for the foot clan but um oh yeah: THEY STARTED OUT HUMAN. I don't give a crap that the mutant form is better they were originally human men who were deformed and mutated and actually can be cured as shown in 4 episodes. The turtles however were never human to begin with so it's just awful to ship them with humans. Especially Leo & Karai infact it's worst than Beastiality it's fucking incest!!! But to stay in subject I dislike the character affection on Donnie because of another character the opposite species as him and doesn't feel the same way but still continues the charade for a who knows what reason. Sorry for the rant Z but I do love the concept and idea of this. It had to be done. *bows down* thank you.

Fans tried to defend this ship by saying that "April is only so mean to Donnie sometimes because she doesn´t know
how to react to his affections and she doesn´t want to hurt him." But damn, April was right from the start extreamly bratty
and often mean to the Turtles (and especially Donnie) without a real reason at all
But what also ticks me off is that Donnie is never, NEVER angry at her! Heck she basicly killed him in the episode where she was taken
over by the crystal, but in the end Donnie was like "Nah, its fine that you basicly fucking killed me!" Like WTF?!?!
He is NEVER angry at her, she could kill all of his brothers and he would still run after her like a love sick little puppy!!!!
Why does this show make love look so stupid and annoying?!?! (another good reason to watch Trollhunters...THEY KNOW HOW TO FUCKING WRITHE GOOD ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIPS!!!! )
Though I want to point out that this, ugh "ship" is in fact NOT beastiality!
Beastiality is when you want to have a relationship with a being that can´t say "No", so a normal animal.
But since the Turtles are mutants, thus half human in a way, and they can think by themselfs and talk, its not beatiality!
Still hate all TMNT 2012 canon ships with a burning passion though
And finally,FINALLY someone who sees 2012 Leorai as incest as well, I mean, Splinter would NEVER allow that, dead or not.
And have you ever noticed that Karai is useing the fact that Leo likes her maybe a bit to much to her advantage?!
Thats not love!! Yes she seems to like to flirt with him, or at least she did in the begining.
But It became much less after they figured out that Karai is Splinters daughter!
And she clearly doesn´t like Leo that way, she comes across now like a rebelious big sister, while Leo STILL seems to get a boner from her =__=

Wooowww I dead just peeped that. Yet if it was someone else Don would show anger. I'm now starting to think Donnie's is the worst one. Even Leo shows anger in Karai when she's pushes it to almost murdering his family and so did Raph with Moana (im sorry idk how to do her real name). Hell she never even apologized to Mikey about her fake Kraang mom. No one did which still urks me alittle. Yeah I agree the love in this show is honestly... off. Hell Yoshi & Saki's beef started because of love. Even my Fanbook and ships have better love explaining. (Not sure if you're a Yuri person but if not then you probably might wanna not go near my gallery in the future or. ever) (still wishes someone could give him a link to free Trollhunters eps) But yeah I think TMNT should just stick to action romance clearly isn't it's thing.

At first I was worried because I thought this was vent art for a second, until I read the description. (well I guess it still counts as vent art since its about pairings and how the show focuses more on raph/leo )
Awwww poor Donnie, we still love you. But *sighs* Raph and Leo are always the center of attention in most TMNT media and are always the one with crazy fangirl fanbases.
Yes, those two are cool and all, but its like what we talked about before, Donnie and Mikey hardly get attention these days. I mean sure they still have fans, just not towards Leo and Raph's huge ass fandom -___-
But this is why I always favor Donnie over Raph, he was more interesting to me, And I will not lie, sometimes 2012 Raph really pisses me off on how he treats Donnie at times. Like for an example: He said Donnie has no chance with April because he's a mutant and he's a human, therefore different species. Really Raph? REALLY? I know he's worried about Donnie, but he could at least not be a hypocrite about what he preaches to him. (Hell, the dude literally fell for a girl of another race who only liked her because she punched him... They're not the same species either.
I also hate how his rabid fangirls always side with everything Raph says and treat him like an innocent angel, when he honestly, acts like a prick at times.
But the poor guy, makes me want to draw a cute sequel picture of Mikey comforting him or Splinter at least.

I think we talked about that already ,but yeah, the show focuses to much on Raph and Leo.
I always thoght that Leo was a pretty dull character and that he was rarely ever interesting.
Leo has very little character and then theres Raph, Raph maybe has much more character than Leo
that however doens´t change the fact that they often make Raph angry just for the sake of being angry in the Nick show.
Thats why I liked Raph so much in the 2003 series, becuse there was always a good reason for him to be angry.
Thos Donnie and Mikey where always a bit underused, im mean have you noticed that in the last movie Donnie does
no fighting but in retturn he litteraly explains EVERYTHING??
Oh and this movie also made Mikey dumber than Bebop and Rocksteady have ever been...HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE?!

I thought Leo did have character in the first few seasons though, he was much more dorky then. I sort of do miss that side from him since it gave him a better personality. True but eh, he needs better reasons to be angry. (Sometimes he does ) And I know Leo/Raph arguments are common in tmnt but eh,... More Donnieband Mikey please.

I couldn't agree more with what you said in the description! Every "couple" on the show is forced, even the way they interact is sometimes cringy (a specific canon couple in mind). I hate how they made Donnie seem so ... pathetic. Especially with how cool he was in the 2003 version, the whole April dragging him on thing ... ugh point is, I totally get it.
But away from the couple thing, I feel like in 2012 only Mikey appreciates Donnie, Splinter, Raph and especially Leo just tend ignore him and never thank him for all he's done, not even a praise.

Yes! Even the short about them turning human to get pizza from April's school. The design they chose for him screams typical nerd. Like in all honesty that is NOT what I pictured Donny to look like. I recently noticed they're just generalizing the boys in the new version.
I like the new version of the show and the movie and I really appreciate them for giving us more TMNT but I really wish they just fixed writing a bit, no more cheesy, predictable, make Donnie ultra pathetic and Mikey ridiculously stupid crap. Like I've read fan fiction that did a better job at writing the boys. v_v

Yeah, it really seems that, in recent years, they really want Donnie to come
of as an stereotitycal nerd, who can´t fight and is only good for the complicated stuff
wich makes me really sad, because Don has been my favorite Turtle ever since childhood.
And while I do think that the current movies a stupid, at least they are a funny kind of stupid to
me and I really enjoy them.
But especially in those Donnie seems to be nothing more that just the nerd that stands in a corner
while his bros fight :/

I've said this before somewhere a while ago, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is slowly become the Leo and Raph show ft. Donnie and Mikey. Unfortunately they've been down graded to sidekicks. Because from what I'm guessing four protagonists is too much? Even though no one ever complained about that.

Well, as far as I know Raph and Leo are the most popular of the four.
I mean look at most TMNT OCs, they´re either shipped with Raph or Leo.
Barely anyone ships thier OC with Mikey or Donnie :/
I once saw someone saying that they don´t shipt thier OC with Donnie because

No he does not! And no one says that about Leo and Karai or Raph and Mona, so wtf?!
Another thing you notice quickly is that when TMNT Toys come out that theres actually very little
Donnie, especially when its about the Turtles in different outfitsor Variants in general, that theres often
no Donnie, just Mikey, Leo and Rpah.
Thats becaue the copany who makes most of the acton figures once said that Donnie always sells the least of the four Turtles,
thats why theres very little of him to begin with :/
Even in the 2003 series Donnie first got his own real arc in the very last season!
I often belive that the writers just don´t know waht to do with Donnie or Mikey,

Well i can really dive into the OC thing since I tend to mostly avoid reading stories with OC especially if they're shipped with turtles, but I'm sure what you just told me is 100% based on other Fanfics I've read. Yes Raph and Leo do top the list. And it irritates me that every company that has ever own (and still currently own) TMNT don't try to market Donny and Mikey better in the movies and in the toy market.
In 2012 They made Mikey popular and likable with kids and some other fans (I've always loved the goofball) but Donnie is still marginalized which is sad. I honestly blame the bad writing.
I've written a journal here on DA critiquing season 4 (2012) in one of the notes I talked about how Donnie was totally put to the side when this was his season to shine! I mean they let Leo drive the space ship?! That should've been Donny! Also the newest episode after they came back to earth, the writers don't know what to do with Donnie so they knock him out... ( ala broken foot ala evil of the dregg ) in cosmic of the ocean the eerie fishman had more screen time than Donnie.
It's nick's job and the writers to make Donny stand out among his brothers. Yes he is likable but truth is his crush on April makes his seem pathetic, also give him more episodes ! Give us an episode we're Mikey and Donnie do the saving! But I guess that won't happen seeing the picture of Leo and Raph teaming up they teased in Comicon a while back.
Sigh... he might be unloved by the writers but the us fans love him dearly!

I can see why, I have an OC myself and I ship her with one
of the Villains.
To break the circle of OCXRaph or Leo shipping and because I ship
my OCs only with fav characters of mine and only if it fits too.
But when I browse through DA I only see OCs shipped with those two and sometimes
some that are shipped with MIkey, but Donnie?
Rarely ever see OCXDonnie couples...it seems that it is an unwritten rule for a lot of people that
April and Donnie belong together :/
There I miss the way they did it in the 2003 series, where Donnie had a crush on APril as well, but it was only that
a crush.
He later did realize that it would probobly never work out between them and after that he just saw April as a big sister.
Oh don´t get me started on season 4 of the 2012 series >_>
Each TMNT series so far had its bad seasons, but none was as bad as this one >:/
So far it only managed to make me either angry or just downright bored=__=
To me it seems that the series reched its peak with season3 and after that it just went down

Crushes in general in 2003 were forced. We didn't see Leo gushing on Karai or Raph over joy or even Donny over April and Jhanna, it was kinda let for the veiw's to decide if the female character was a crush or not... subtle you know.
YES!!! Oh how this season annoyed my non existent shell! It's sad but I think after this season finishes I might stop watching the 2012 version
