ImageIt's been too long since I have shot on the beaches of Cornwall and it was a great feeling to be back. And what a place to regain my coastal photography than Bedruthan Steps, a beach situated on the north coast of Cornwall. I have shot here many times before, however either the conditions or the tide have prevented me from capturing the real beauty of this stretch of stunning coastline. However this time was to be the best opportunity to get some great shots. The beach is scattered with boulders dug deep into the sand creating these great pools of water as the tide retreats. I spent much of the time looking for compositions and avoiding leaving footprints in the sand that I would most defiantly have to spend cloning out later... I settled upon this collection of pools the sky was producing some great details, rather than settling for a simple foreground I decided to mirror the busy sky in the foreground with some interesting effect.

Lovely light.
Last night I witnessed one of the best sunsets I've seen over West Penwith. Unfortunately, I was looking out of my bedroom window and not out taking photos. Another great photo lost!
