Just like how Queen Hilda Rose mentioned that Prince Alfred wouldn’t be too far from the castle, Fairy Quartz found him with ease. Surprisingly, Prince Alfred was still around the castle walls, which would make everything easier for Fairy Quartz… as long as she could get his attention.

Sah: Um…text?

What is it, Sleeping Archie?

Sah: That’s not my name. I’m not a siren OR a gemsparagus under a sleeping spell; I’m just a dreamscape version of the latter.

Oh. My bad. What’s wrong, Sah?

Sah: Vernor got sick.

Essbe: Nope. We’re not kidding. She told us before she woke up yesterday.

Saj: So, us four are going to get the information for her until she’s better.

Sage: So you better be accurate when telling the story chapters.

Got it! Ahem. Fairy Quartz had to do something to get Prince Alfred’s attention and…she knew what to do. She would put a blue glow around herself, to which she did, and then, soon enough, Prince Alfred would-

“Hey, are you Ealhswiþ’s godmother? The one who helped take care of her since her birth?”

“I am, Prince Alfred the Great Rose.”

“Well, how is she right now?”

“She’s under a prophesied sleep, to which only her true love can save her. That true love, in her case, is you. If you follow the blue glow around me, you’ll be brought to her and, with your kiss of true love, you can save her.”

Prince Alfred knew how much he loved Ealhswiþ, so doing anything to save her, despite his blurry sight, he would go through it. So, Fairy Quartz led Prince Alfred to Ealhswiþ’s room and…he gave the rose his kiss of true love. Ealhswiþ was saved, the kingdom rejoiced, and true love was shown to occur.

Saj: Aww. That’s a happy ending.

Essbe: But wait. If the Rose Kingdom got a happy ending with the help of Fairy Quartz…

Sage: How did Fairy Quartz turn to the side of evil?

Sah: And a bigger question on top of that, why does anything in the Rose Kingdom relate to Vernor losing control of their gem after Sleeping Vernor happened?

I’m getting to that. There’s only 10 more days left before the challenge is over, so everything will be tied up nicely.

Vernor: 11…

Huh? What was that, Vernor?

Vernor: 11… There’s 11 days left of this challenge. It’s a leap year.
