This one will be renamed when I find out what kind of orchid this is. I went to the orchid show a couple of months back, and this is my favorite orchid from the show. If you happen to know what orchid it is, I would welcome learning about it. Otherwise, I'll figure it out. I'll be posting more images from the show as I have time to scan them and clean out all the lint.Edit: says it is a Paphiopedilum, Slipper Orchid.

It is a type of Paphiopedilum, possibly "Paphiopedilum sukhakulii". The species common name is 'Slipper Orchid'

BTW, that orchid is some Paphiopedilum (Lady slipper orchid). Maybe P. sukhakulii but I don't know.

Thank you, both for the nice comment, and the information. I have some web sites I can look at now that you gave me the genus, and maybe figure out which species it is. I don't know exactly when I'll get to that, though.

I like that in the background you can tell what is there but it doesn't draw your eye away from your focal point. Very pretty picture
