Description
Harrison Yocum is a good friend of mine. He gave me a piece of stapelia. He is very generous. I planted it in my yard, and this is a picture of the plant several years later. Stapelia is also known as Carrion Flower. It has a flower that is leathery and shaped like a 5 pointed star, and usually colored a light yellowish color, at least in this species. It has a bad odor, and attracts flies. The flies land and get eaten.
