Can't barely look at it because of the cockroach. I don't even know how I've painted it for starters. So now you know. The phobia is all mine.

I guess the perfect way to describe this is: It's the best drawing I can't look at. Hate, hate, hate cockroaches. It's not right that something that big should be able to fly or move as fast as they do. The eyes are the best part, how expressive they are. You can just see the fear in them.

The worst part truly is the flying aspect. .. Just imagine they'd suddenly come out of nowhere, flying directly in your face.

I've always loved cartoons and I'm very frustrated for not knowing how to draw and paint in cartoonish style, so I did the next best thing. A realistic cartoon, as you brilliantly put it.

I saw one of those when I moved to my old house. ON the COUNTER. I was so depressed, it's like cockroach = filth UGH it makes me nauseous just thinking about it

I can tell you that both countries have unbelievebly huge roaches. And they fly. Argh!!!! They fly!!!

They say it's brazilian, but, honestly, only if they're talking about the amazon. If that's where these monsters come from, one more reason to never set foot there! And people still ask me if I ever been there... *snorts*

i am not REALLY scared of them...creaped out yes...but can't say i am afraid of them... i just have odd things to be scared of... like legolas and ginger (the actual ginger not when it is cooked into something) and sea gulls... yes they are really that i am scared of...or terrified of...
lol it just convinces my friend i am more of a nut lol

That phobia is all mine too, and living in Texas we get those huge, awful ones, just like you've painted. I seriously freeze up and can't do anything more than squeak if I see one. When my husband hears the squeaking, he comes running with his shoe to swat it.
Once one ran up my bare leg when I was cleaning out the garage

Oh! Roaches love hot weather! I have the same problem here. One day I'll move to Finland or some place equally cold.
Sometimes I can't even run, cause I have the impression that if I run, it will run towards me or fly - which is a lot worse!!!
