Description
Kevin Gerringer is a friend of Mark Sanders, Aaron Brooks, and Jay Phillips up until he is turned into the Red Mecha Ranger. When he and his girlfriend, Melissa DePew, along with several other students of Reefside Central, are taken into Mesomorph's custody, Kevin is granted the position of Red Ranger. With this comes the power of Yod, the Hand Guardian of the Aleph Beyt, and the powers of Lunarus - warrior of the moon. With these powers, Kevin is able to manipulate gravity to his liking, reflect light energy, and possesses mild telepathy.

His weapon, the Yod Axe-Hammer, is a staff-like weapon with a double-sided axe on one end, and a sledge hammer on the other. But when those don't get the job done, Kevin relies on his Mecha Allosaurus or, more recently, his DigiMech Hydra.

Kevin becomes the undisputed leader of the Mecha Squad after the team's Aleph Beyt energy is purified by the Fury Team.
