I like the combination of geometric elements and the spiders. Are they paying omage to a higher force or are they being held captive? I like your works!

Thank you for your words, also for your interpretations. I really appreciate it! It helps me understand my own work, because I'm often not sure what I want to say with a work anyway. I think a lot of things happen subconsiously while doing art work. Regarding this one, I think the insects are frightened because they experience this sudden lightness shining through the grid into their dark environment. And they don't know what it means. They are paralysed with fear or go crazy. I think it's interesting to think about how it would be to live in such a dark world, where lightness would cause such a frighting. Because in the human world it's generally the other way around with lightness and darkness.

You are welcome. As you said, for me the subconscious is certainly at work when create. Sometimes I'll just start with nothing (seemingly so) in mind and something emerges. I like your description of the insects and their experience. As far as light and dark are concerned, I have found at times more comfort in the dark and the light rather intrusive and stark. Thank you for sharing your experience and observations.
