I assume that Nyarlathotep was the focus of the awful cannibal cult discussed -but never fully explained -in the classic THE RATS IN THE WALLS concerning the lesion in the world known as Exham Priory, and the cult that festered there for centuries throughout the succession of religions .
The De La Poers were but the last of the worshippers, who built that castle and did not given guided tours to the people. Those coarse fungus gardens -and what they fed !
