Wow, you made Dark Shadow in 3D? Is this completly from scratch in a 3D modeling program?

no you see what ido, is i use a program called gimp 2.6, and thewa i make the pictures is i just take parts from different 3D pictures of any sonic character you know to make an original pose, and what i do after that is i either edit or recolor the picture to make it into any image or character i want.

Ah, so it's like sprite editing, just with more detailed images. Cool. If ya ever want to do more characters/forms from DoD like this, I'd love to see them.

Spriting?
jmad? Far from it, unless you don't know what sprites have to go through...

I may not be fully aware of this particular subject, but if you have to ask me about not knowing the spriting process then you have no idea who I am.

Then why did you said that recolouring picture is harder than spriting.

I compared it to, "Editing" not recoloring.  Whether my example was correct or not in your opinion, I did NOT state that recoloring is "Harder", then "Spriting".

And I said "editing" because the artist said he takes parts from sonic poses of this style (3D whatever the hell you want to call it), makes the pose he wants, and then colors etc.  Which is basically what sprite editing is, regardless of semantics.

Now if you want to talk about making sprites from scratch, or "custom" as so many people say incorrectly when speaking of original sprites.  The following is a few small examples of my sprite skills:

Now are clear and done here?  And while this "dark shadow" piece here is by no means harder than spriting from scratch, if you understand color theory and light, anything in art, can be easy.

Where do you see 3D modeling cut.

and nice pixel art, I can also do something like that, but I'll stick to weapons instead.

Yes, not on this particular image he did.  But that's what he said and I'm really not into sonic as much anymore.  On top of that I was never enough of a fan to know who did a simple recolor job of Official art or not.

Thank you, and yeah.  Weapons are the starting point for scratch spriting/drawing.  I myself did that as well.  If you'd like some advice or tips some time on improving/advancing I'd be happy to offer.

actually i accept requests, so if there is any character from DoD you want me to make for you, just ask and i'll get right on it.

Nah, just make whatever ya feel like, when ya feel like it. I prefer fanart just to happen, rather than on request.
